LaVern M. Johnson Park
The park under the cliffs: the whitewater park, a splash pad, playgrounds, the Town campground and, in a cold January, an outdoor ice rink.
The Town’s riverside park, rebuilt after the 2013 flood. A quarter-mile of engineered pools and drops on the North St. Vrain for kayaks in June and tubes in July and August, a splash pad and playgrounds, the campground, and an ice rink when a cold snap holds. The sandstone bank is the best picnic spot in town. A Town parking pass applies to the lot on busy days.
